Iranian President Inaugurates Several Infrastructural Medical Projects
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Thursday inaugurated several infrastructural projects in the fields of health, hygiene and treatment.

President Rouhani inaugurated several important national health and treatment projects conducted by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with the Red Crescent Society across the country via video conference on Thursday morning.

The projects are located in Tehran, East Azarbaijan, Isfahan, Sistan and Balouchestan, Kurdistan, Mazandaran, and Gilan provinces.

Several important projects were inaugurated at Razi Skin Hospital in Tehran. It is 21,500 square meters hospital and has 176 beds. The hospital has radiology, phototherapy, laboratory and chemotherapy wards among a number of others. It has provided jobs for 550 people so far.

The transplant center of Masih Daneshvari hospital, in Northeastern Tehran, was also inaugurated today. It has 100 beds and covers a span of 5,600 square meters. It has provided 400 jobs.

President Rouhani also inaugurated a 295-bed hospital in the city of Khoi, in the Northwestern Iran; a 235-bed hospital in Saqqez in the Western Iran province of Kurdistan; a 231-bed in Talesh, in Gilan province inNnorth of the country; a 64-bed respiratory hospital in Zabol, in the Southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan as well as a 224-bed hospital in Noshahr in Mazandaran province, Northern Iran.

President Rouhani underlined in August that the main focus of his government is on the economic boom in spite of the US sanctions and the spread of the coronavirus.

"Spurring economy and economic activities is the main priority of the government in the current Iranian year (started March 20, 2020)," President Rouhani said addressing the 161st session of Government’s Economic Coordinating Council.

He reiterated the government wants to pave suitable ways for inauguration of important projects of the country coupled with economic boom and stability, he emphasized.
