Torkaman highlighted Iran’s readiness for strengthening cultural relations with Russia, especially with respect to formation of joint committee on cultural cooperation.
He also welcomed holding interfaith talks between Islam and Christianity.
Dzhagaryan, also, stressed bolstering religious talks in a bid to reach a common understanding.
Russian Federation is ready to develop cultural ties with Iran, he added.
In a relevant event last week, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and Russian envoy to Iran in a meeting in Tehran underlined the need to expand mutual cooperation in different fields, specially the trade and business relations.
During the meeting in the Iranian capital on Monday, Qalibaf and Dzhagaryan explored avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating bilateral fields in economic and trade areas.
