According to Iran Nanotechnology Innovation Council, the product is used in a variety of industries such as petrochemicals and refineries.
CEO of ‘Pakan Atiyeh’ Company Hassan Bargozin said this technology can be applied for producing flame-resistant clothes and gloves.
“It will help reduce energy consumption and pollution as well,” he said, adding that
it can also play the role of sound insulation.
Bargozin said that the company has the capacity of making 5,000 square meter silica aerogel blanket with 6 and 4 mm and 1 cm thickness.
In a relevant development on October 26, 2019, a knowledge-based Iranian company used the air jet mill provided by another Iranian firm to increase production of nano silica which can be applied in manufacturing nanostructured tires.
The research team of a knowledge-based Iranian company mass-produced nano silica after years of research and development (R&D) work.
The size of particles used in the produced nano silica is between 15 to 35 nanometers.
The nano silica produced by the Iranian company can be used in tire and plastic industries as a strengthener due to its large surface area.
Iran has made huge progress in different sciences and technologies in recent years.
