Supreme Leader: Quran Requires Muslims Not to Fear Enemies
TEHRAN (FNA)- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said on Saturday that the noble Quran teaches us not to be scared of enemies and to stand firmly against them.

The Supreme Leader made the remarks at the end of a special ceremony for reciting the Quran on the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan via video conference at Imam Khomeini Musalla (Prayer Complex) of Tehran

“The holy Quran is an unending source for the seekers of knowledge and perfection. Besides, it is the guideline for life,” he said.

“If human beings adapt the rules of life with the holy Quran, they will achieve blessing both in this world and the Hereafter,” he added.

“Our problem is that we do not adapt life with the rules of the holy Quran. We are like a person who visits a doctor and gets his prescription but does not practice the prescription. Today, our situation is like this,” Ayatollah Khamenei further said.

“The holy Quran is also a book of instruction and knowledge; that is to say, this noble Book irrigates the human heart and mind,” he said, adding, “it is an interminable source for those who are in quest of knowledge.”

He continued, “The holy Quran says do not trust oppressors and never incline to them. The result of trusting oppressors is that Muslim countries trust the most brutal elements of the world and see the result.”

Some of the applied and practical orders of the holy Quran, he maintained, pertain to social relationships. "For example, do not backbite. This regulates social relations. When you backbite, you resent and harass your own heart and that of your brother and this issue should be taken into serious consideration."

The Supreme Leader time and again refers to the holy Quran in his speeches. On June 7, 2016, for instance, he underlined that acting to the teachings of the holy Quran can save the humanity from falling into the modern day's traps.

"If Quran's concepts are shared with the world, the holy Quran is going to establish the main source of influence across the world, leaving the big powers and their weapons and the Zionist regime with no ability to follow their wrong deeds," Ayatollah Khamenei said in a gathering of reciters of the holy Quran.
