Araiji made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fathali in Beirut on Tuesday.
He also welcomed an invitation from Iranian Culture Minister Ali Jannati to visit Tehran.
Araiji said that he would visit Iran at the earliest opportunity to speed up implementation of agreements on cultural cooperation and further expansion of Tehran-Beirut cultural ties.
He also called for strengthening of cooperation in various scientific, cultural, social and political fields.
During the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views on mutual cooperation and regional developments.
In relevant remarks in February, Fathali said Tehran was planning to continue supporting Beirut in implementing its development projects.
Fathali said Iran was committed to its promise of contributing in reconstruction of Lebanon under any circumstances.
He further added that following the 33-day war against Lebanon by the Zionist regime, which caused immense destruction, Iran assisted the Lebanese nation in rebuilding schools, mosques, hospitals, bridges and roads.
Iran inaugurated three development projects in South of Lebanon in recent days.
Also in January, Chairman of the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi underscored his country's continued support for security and stability in Lebanon.
Iran "is fully ready to play a vital, practical and serious role in support of means of strengthening and developing relations between Iran and Lebanon", Boroujerdi told reporters after his meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam.
