Iran Willing to Boost Exchanges with Argentina

TEHRAN (FNA)- Head of Iran-Argentina Parliamentary Friendship Group Seyed Hossein Hashemi on Wednesday voiced Tehran's interest in increasing exchanges with Buenos Aires.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran as a country with competent capabilities is willing to raise the level of its exchanges with Argentina in industrial and technical arenas," Hashemi said in a meeting with Argentinean Charge D'affaires Mario Kintrous here in Tehran.

Referring to the role of the two parliaments in developing and strengthening relations between the two countries, Hashemi reiterated the support of the Iranian parliament for the expansion of relations and cooperation between Tehran and Buenos Aires.

During the meeting, Kintrous described Iran as a historical country with an ancient civilization, and said the level of exchanges between the two countries is insufficient, considering the potentials and capacities existing on both sides.

He also expressed the hope that the two countries would experience an increase in their economic cooperation.
